The question I am most asked is, how I edit my photos. I follow a simple 2 step photo editing process. You can use any photo editing program or app to achieve the “the look”.
1. Increase the brightness: what we see on our screens is slightly lighter than what is printed, so always increase the brightness of your photos.
2. Decrease the colour saturation: I do this to achieve colour cohesive pages for my legacy albums.
So simple right? I started doing this to my photo’s years ago, so my visual and written narratives would pair perfectly. My personal style preference has always been an understated, minimalist approach to design, this includes muted colours. This photo editing process achieves “my style” brief.

A man without guile, humble in nature, a gifted storyteller and a reverence for God. It’s taken me all of this day to share these simple but profoundly impactful truths about my dad.
On Father’s Day he would have sent us a Father’s Day message, told us “the bigger the present, the more I Iove you,” and insisted on a Chinese feed.
Here’s to the men that love and bless their families Happy Father’s Day. 🤍

Our doggos are our bebes, part of our family and we love them dearly.
We currently share our lives with Bosley, Bénté, and our newest addition, Barker. But our love of Sharpei’s began with Mr Bojangles and Brinkley, who have “crossed rainbow bridge.”
My Grandmother use to say Dog is God spelt backwards, very fitting for nans best friend. Here’s to the canines that share and bless our lives🤍🐕🤍

I learnt today of the unexpected death of Fonnetta. An unfathomable loss for those who loved and knew her. Today we grieve on this side of the veil as Heaven claimed the grandest of souls on Saturday and tomorrow we celebrate her birthing day, her life, which in itself was a tremendously joyous day for earth.
Her spirited persona was indeed infectious and it is impossible to know the number of those whose lives were influenced by her generosity, creativity, wisdom, love, and presence.
As part of our much loved creative team, we enjoyed her insight, outbursts of laughter, mindfulness and curiosity. We were captivated by her enthusiasm for life, enlightened by her passion for becoming self reliant, strengthened by her words of wisdom-born from a life of diverse and rich experiences, and grateful for her example in what it means to truly be a woman of substance. Her love and capacity to share her love was beyond measure.
It is not enough to say Fonnetta will be missed because we know these words are inadequate to convey the emotions and anguish of being separated from the tangible presence and physical influence of her being.
Here’s to Fonnetta, who completed her mortal mission and stepped beyond the veil. May we always have a little of your spunk in our step as we continue on our way, until we meet again.
Loved, remembered, and grateful to have spent a little time basking in your fabulousness. It was an honour to know you, and call you friend.

At Christmas, there are a few essentials which make the days and nights deliciously wonderful. Here are just two on my list.
• A GREAT ROOM SCENT
Smell is a strong memory trigger for me and most people. Christmas especially. It’s one of my essential indulgences to have our home smelling just as amazing as the decor.
• A GREAT DESTINATION
For most of us this means home. However. I’m gonna be a tad real here. My favourite destination is actually the fridge. It stores most of the yumminess that we enjoy and at this time of year, it’s a real indulgence to have eggnog and mangoes, which aren’t available at any other season. These are absolute palette pleasure for us during our summer Christmases. A well stocked fridge and pantry is such a blessing and makes our spirits bright. We also love to give delicious delectables, because we believe in spreading the cheer 😜

All of a sudden it’s the 15th of December, and I’m wondering where this year has gone and reevaluating and reimagining this space here. Stay tuned, I can promise it will be a game changer. Hence why my social posts had been sparse. I’ve been creating and making space for a new direction …
